Ok, I guess the question is whether I should focus on ripping or FM. I'm thinking it may not be too hard to grab some kind of dump out of a custom version of MAME in case someone wants to check out, say, Taito instruments (assuming the chip is reasonably close). On the other hand, man, my FB-01 needs some love! |

So, if I focus on ripping, maybe it could be an app that can rip from a few different sources and with just limited support (if at all) for "real" FM MIDI devices. Or, I could focus on making if a cool patch manager for Yamaha 4 op MIDI devices and VOPM which just happens to be able to rip from Genesis games. |

Thanks! It's going to do both formats eventually, but just GYM for the moment. Just a quick update: I've gotten FB-01 dumping halfway working, though some bugs need to be worked out. The manual for that thing is.. wow. |

Is it a big problem to implement TX81Z dumping too? |

I'd love to use my TFM or VOPM patches on FB-01, if that's what you're getting at
FB01 is my only FM hardware, and TFM, IMO, has the best patch editor... |
